Bromeliads
The below questions & answers relate to all our Bromeliad plants range
Some of the foliage is bent or broken, what shoud I do?
While we take utmost care in packaging our plants, transit can be unpredictable. If you have a plant with damaged foliage we recommend pruning over plucking.
My plant is loosing color, what should I do?
While low-light tolerant, bromeliads thrive in strong indirect light and their colors are best expressed under strong, in-direct lighting conditions.
Why doesn't my plant have a flower?
Our plants sold 'flowering' or 'in flower' have been treated to initiate their flowering cycle (it's science) and will produce their blooms in 4-6 weeks upon arrival. Shipping plants prior to bloom ensures the most home enjoyment and longer lasting blooms (some up to 6 weeks!) Increased home temperature, strong lighting and adequate watering can accelerate this timing while plants in cooler climates may take twice as long to bloom.
My plant stopped growing after it bloomed?
Many bromeliads are monocarpaic, meaning their life cycle ends after a single bloom when the plant focuses growth on it's 'pups' or offsets. Once 1/3 the size of the mother plant, simply remove pups and enjoy!
Succulents & Desert Rose
The below questions & answers relate to all our Succelents & Desert Rose plants range
Are these plants toxic?
While many of our beautiful succulents add a touch of elegance and serenity to any space, it's important to note that some varieties can be mildly toxic to pets and young children if ingested. We recommend placing them in areas that are out of reach for your furry friends and little ones, or considering our pet-friendly plant options for a safer environment. Our knowledgeable team is here to help you choose the perfect plant that fits your lifestyle and space, ensuring both beauty and safety. Explore our collection today to find the ideal addition to your home!
Why is the color of my plant looking 'washed out'?
Too much shade results in etiolation, move the plant closer to a window and rotate regularly to facilitate upright growth.
My plant has turned yellow and is soft, what should I do?
Check the pot has drainage holes and that there is no standing water around the plant. Repot the plant with ragnaroc Soil-less Potting Mix and ensure you allow the plant to completely dry between watering.
There's loose soil in my box!
While we pride ourselves in the care taken during our packing process, carriers and corresponding carrier quality varies greatly. Let us know if there is damage to your plant once it arrives and we'll make it right, but a little loose soil is no reason for concern.
I live in Alaska, how do you prevent the plant from freezing in transit?
We try to track the weather but you know your home best, deciding to add a heat pack to your order is a great idea to avoid any potential disappointment.
My Desert Rose lost all of it's foliage.....help?!
Our plants are grown from seed and extremely hardy, with our Desert Rose being one of the hardiest plants we grow. Simply repot the plant upon arrival and within 2 weeks new foliage will appear. Note you can influence growth through selective trunk pruning.
